Recently I was interviewed by the lovely Jamie Ridler of Jamie Ridler Studios and it went live today! I just listened to the whole thing (something I’m always afraid to do!) and was happily surprised that I sounded “fine.”
Anyway, we talked about creative freelancing and drawing and some more things I can’t remember… It’s about 20 minutes long, so if you’re inclined to listen be sure to have some pen and paper in front of you so you can draw/doodle!
Thank you so much, Jamie!!

Are you going to see Jane Davenport when she is in Seattle?

Carla,
I really enjoyed the interview. It is always encouraging to realize that even though one takes a different path to embracing art as a way of life, it is possible to do so.
I really felt that she asked the right questions to help listeners learn from you and to get to know you in a positive light.

Great interview! You came accross very well. It was super inspiring. I too am facing “walking into that community college class…” and I’m 13 years older than you were when you did it! Hearing your story was comforting! Good luck with the new books.

Not at all! It was so inspiring to hear of your journey and that it is okay to morph at times! I’ve morphed many times and have often felt that something was wrong somehow. I’m coming to understand that it is just the nature of the artistic journey. It isn’t always easy though ;-D
