I think I’m home for a little while. (But I’ve had a great summer!) The show in Santa Fe was wonderful β perfect weather, nice show organizers, good sales…. but a summer’s worth of house-neglect means I could be busy just organizing and cleaning for the next month. Since Christer is coming home next weekend, I’ll have to squeeze it into just a few days… better that way.
“All is well. Wonderful things are happening.” Some of my prints and transfers are going to be shown at the New York International Gift Show (starting Saturday, August 11) as part of the “I’m Still Me” booth… woo hoo! (Christer used to say this at three years old when he was happy; still works for me!)
The above “Fairy on Cat” print will be available on etsy later today…
congrats on the gift show~
good luck
welcome home and well done with the show! love that print, it seems to sum up everything about being home π
Miss Dot… you’re so right!!! (I did miss my little kitty.)
welcome home, you have had quite an exciting summer. Congrats on the show even being from Canada I have heard about that show.
Embroidery patterns and shows and all – congratulations! Love this painting, I think it looks like me and my cat! π
Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing you in October! 2 months goes by in no time.

This is so sweet. Even fairies like to cuddle?
I like your interestingly textured background. How did you achieve that?
Bronwyn: I paint the entire painting in white gesso before I add color. I get all the texturing done first. I use an old brush and thickened gesso for the background; then I add and subtract layers of watercolor to achieve the effect you see. Thanks for asking!
ohhh, that hug is just what i feel about my boys! π so wonderful.
