Whoopi on Bunny

• I was thinking of Whoopi Goldberg today when working on this painting, as I saw her in the news recently.
• Did you know I actually met her once? I did. I shook her hand. She was nice.
• How? I was at a birthday party at a bowling alley in Hollywood. This was probably in 1991.
• Judd Hirsch bowled in the lane next to me, but we didn’t meet.

Today was a very good day for two reasons:

1. It got up to 55 degrees, and
2. The postman delivered a Star Trek Enterprise dvd from Netflix! (We’re addicted to this series, and had to wait for ALMOST A MONTH because CARLA forgot to check the queue and, instead of getting Star Trek two weeks ago, we got this. My boys were pretty unhappy – you can imagine the scene: indignant groans from Steve and Wes, pathetic apologies from me…)

• I received an e-mail from artist Carol Parks yesterday… she’s having Sabrina Ward Harrison come to her studio and teach a workshop in March! I so wish I could attend, but maybe one of YOU can go in my place… great discount if you sign up by 2/20…
• Lately I’m really enjoying the blog of illustrator James Yang (Yangblog), and check out this WONDERFUL animated short by artist Julia Pott (“My First Crush”).
