We had a yard sale on Saturday.
Have you ever had a yard sale in Salida, Colorado? It’s a unique experience.
Conversation between my husband and middle-aged woman:
- Woman: “You told me to come back at 8:00, and now the chairs I wanted are gone.”
- Steve: “I’m sorry.”
- Woman: “You don’t seem sorry!”
- (Note: The lady knocked on our door at 7:30 am, having crossed flag barriors and a VERY LARGE SIGN saying the sale started at 8:00am… Steve told her to please come back…she came back at 9:00!)
But hey, we made a bunch of cash, and that’s always a good thing!
Thanks for the giggle.. I really need it on this gray and rainy day! I love yards sales but would never be that bold to go before a sale opens! LOL!
Hi Carla!!
You were missed at Artfest! It would have been fun to introduce you to my friend and co-worker Kathy. I had a great time-I am beginning to meet people that I met from there or from Portland Art & Soul. I took a class from Michael DeMeng and from Judy Wise-both were awesome! It was my first time to play with wax on my paintings and I like it! I’ll email you pics soon. I hope you are well!!
Hugs,
Liesel
Funny you should mention your yard sale…..
I thought about posting on my blog about the pile of little jewelry boxes I bought from you! I was tickled pink with such a “score” 🙂
If it’s any consolation, things like the above conversation with the woman happen in other Places, too. I think it’s just one of those yard sale things.
