I left one of my paintings out in the rain! But it’s fine… completely waterproof! Before I wiped off the drops, I got a few pics…
Today I’m getting ready for a show this weekend in Santa Fe. It’s put on by Girls Inc., so my girl paintings are a good match. I’m in a booth on the Plaza… all you locals, please come and visit if you can… I’d love to see/meet you.
Happy Monday!
I love raindrops! This is perfect!
Good luck with your show Carla! Safe travel.

I love the water on the girl’s face. She looks like she lives in a world of tears but somehow keeps a fairy spirit anyway. (You should try some kind of shalacking (sp?) technique to play with it.
Well, I just love how your work looks in the rain.
It’s clear that you hold up well under pressure.
Perfect for the mother of boys!
I love Santa Fe — grew up in New Mexico.
Sadly, I live too far away to visit now.
what a serendipitous accident. Glad you photographed it before drying her off!
I agree: fantastic effect with the water drops! Gives a sense of melancholy to the top painting, and a wintery feel to the second one. Fascinating.
Thanks, everyone! My son, Wes (13-years-old), thought it was the best painting I had ever done… he was sorely disappointed when I had to show him the actual piece, sans waterdrops.
Hi Carla, Oh that is so sweet. You must think of a way to make that look last.It is precious. hope to see you at art unraveded.
