For years now I’ve had trouble with Saturdays. I wake up okay. Breakfast is usually leisurely and great. But around 11:00 am I crash emotionally. I think it’s partly the pancakes and partly my Saturday expectations.
Clean the house!
Do the laundry!
Iron the transfers!
Clean up the yard!
Paint the commission!
Finish every painting on my table!
Spend time with Wes!
Finish the coloring book!
Go to the moon!

So this Saturday, we did. (Go to the moon.) Sort of:
The Sand Dunes National Park, just 1.5 hours away…
It was the best Saturday ever. Highly recommended.
I LOVE that you took this adventure!! I’d imagine that it will be a while still that Wes finds sand in strange places. 🙂
Moms with buried kids rule! 🙂
🙂
This looks very cool!
Carla – I s*%#k !!!! Your little something is still sitting on my studio table and I feel just terrible.
I’ve been traveling a great deal this month and it’s not over yet…I haven’t forgotten !
🙂 keep on surfing the wave of trying to do it all with grace and a smile! It’s exhausting but would we have it any other way?!
ahhhh…
this looks like
SO
MUCH
FUN!!
seriously.
enough to warrant all caps.
:0)
I stopped eating pancakes for that very reason! An hour later and I felt like a shaky mess.
Your day looks like so much fun!
the pictures are just awesome!
I’m very much the same way on weekends. It doesn’t seem to take much to push me off track and straight over the edge into the land of overwhelm. I’m taking comfort knowing I’m not alone : )
It’s the pancakes.
Love the sand dunes photos!!! Miss you,
k
Yup, it’s the pancakes. Try some gluten free ones instead! Too many carbs will do that to your brain. I of course, can’t eat wheat so I have to be happy with GF stuff. And strangely, my moods are way better being off wheat now. Good luck and happy moonwalking. Great photos!
