This is the birdhouse I finished over the weekend that is part of The Birdhouse Project, a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. It’s at Willow – An Artisan’s Market (formerly Middlefish) in Boulder, CO this week!
Today Steve is on his way to Tennessee for a photo shoot and I need to get some sketches done for my second ever 30″ x 40″ commission — this is HUGE for me!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving… quiet and cozy, just the three of us. Well, FOUR of us:
(And yes, she is lying on a painting.)
Have a wonderful week!!
Cats are too funny!! I have a brother and sister pair (going on two years old now) and Oak (the brother) LOVES the single carpeted step that goes from the hallway to our bedroom. He “hides” behind it as we come down the hall not realizing that his pushed back ears that scream ATTACK and black eyes peering over the step (paws in pounce-ready position) are WAY conspicuous!!! 🙂 He’s the only cat, by way of his cuteness, that has ever in the history of our together life been allowed on the bed…but only at the foot and ONLY on top of the blanket. I’m rambling…
The bird house is SO darling! I love the colors and the sea-urchinish-chrysanthemum trees! 🙂 I can’t wait to see the big commission!!
YAY Steve!! Knock ’em dead…but first collect a check! 🙂
The birdhouse is wonderful!!
Love the birdhouse!
That birdhouse is too special. It will fly out the door on angel’s wings I am quite sure.
love the birdhouse!
Wow, Carla! That birdhouse is UNREAL!! So cool. I love it.
Natalie – get off your Mommy’s painting!
Are you really doing a 30 x 40 inch painting???!!!??? whoa. Have I ever seen you do a big one like that? You GO, girl!
Love this too – girl you are on fire!! Send a little of this “I’m gettin it done get out of my way” energy this way – could ya!?
I love the bird house!
It is so funny how cats just do that! If there is a work of art on my desk my cat will make a detour to walk over it!!
Who can understand the goings on in a cat’s mind, you gotta love em though!

Your cat is clearly a connoisseur of fine art! Love the birdhouse.
Wonderful things, as always.
