A weight has been lifted. The above painting — a 30″ x 40″ commission that took me 2.5 months longer to paint than I had planned — is delivered to the client. Phew!
So I spent the morning on some new pieces — tinier pieces — ahh, familiar territory. This fox is about 5″x5″. (This piece was wrecked at one point and I almost threw it in the fire. But I switched gears into Imaginary Creature mode, and out he came!)
And here’s Natalie sitting in my studio… I took the photo from outside as it started to get dark. Yes… I have great windows in my studio!
Happy Weekend! I plan to play more with paint, clean the toilet and watch a Farscape episode with the boys. You?
The commissioned piece is terrific – CONGRATULATIONS!!! (I LOVE all the critters, but most especially the bunny!!!)
ah… what a space to play in.. I am playing all weekend too. Such a luxury. Happy hours.
Congratulations on finishing your commission, Carla. It is awesome.
Love the Natalie photo…
Congrats on the new commission! So sweet! And I love seeing the pic of your studio & studio buddy 🙂
Carla,
Your commission is darling. Drawing/painting the sweet animals and girls is your expertise. You do it SO WELL.
