In three weeks I’ll be heading to Phoenix, Arizona to teach three classes: Watercolor Transfer Painting (Wednesday evening), Personal Icon Painting (Thursday all day), and Drawing Lab in Technicolor (Friday evening). There are still spots in all three classes (though the Watercolor Transfer Painting is almost full).
I want to make a plug to ArtUnraveled attendees for the Drawing Blast class, because I don’t think I did a good selling job with the proposal, and it is going to be a really fun class!
If you are afraid to draw but are feeling a little niggling to add drawing to your mixed media work, please think about adding this class! As I taught kids for many years, I try to make the exercises silly and serious, both. You will draw from life, from photos, and from your imaginations.
In addition, I am writing a book for Quarry Publishers titled “Drawing Lab for Mixed Media Artists” and the assignments and exercises in this class will be a preview for what’s coming… also, if you’re willing to let me use your artwork, you can actually BE in the book!
That’s my plug. I would love to have you join me Friday night, August 7th!
