Hey! I turned in my manuscript last night!
I have lots more sketchbook pages to share… and life drawings as well, but tomorrow I leave for Portland for Art & Soul. Regular posting to resume next week!

inPlease excuse the pause in posting as I finish up my book manuscript. I think it’s coming together nicely, but it does need to get DONE – LOL.

inI just listed some journals here.
Yesterday I had a good day with the book writing in the morning, and then a GREAT day drawing in the afternoon. I did something I really love… can’t show it yet … it’s too soon, I think!
Have a great day everyone!

inSeven polka dots…
Three small nudes…
Two little creatures…
… and a ghost-birdy in a dead tree.
My book deadline is next week… and I’m feeling WAAAYYY behind. (If you can send good thoughts my way to that end, it might help make my editor’s life easier…. I’ve had such a hard time focusing this past month! Well, the past three months.)
Bye for now, wish me “focusing” luck, and I hope you have a great weekend!!

inWhen on the road trip last month to Arizona with Jill Berry, she told me to Google my first name with the word “unfortunately” preceding it. I finally remembered to do it this morning and here’s what I found! (Try it with your name!)

inOh my gosh! I love it!!
This is Natalie (my cat), though it doesn’t look a bit like her because she “left” and so I finished the drawing from my imagination, and I let the human-eye thing emerge.
I really want to improve my line quality and drawing skills in general, so I am taking some lessons from a local artist… It’s scary being a student!!!
When home on my own I took my own (and others’) advice and copied some Old Master Drawings… the horse is a detail of a Delacroix and the eye is a detail from a Da Vinci drawing.
