I really like the above drawing, but it doesn’t look AT ALL how it was SUPPOSED to look when I started. I was TRYING to draw realistic goat from this photo reference:
But when I started drawing the line for the back part of its body, it just looked like a “growth.”
Never mind!!! It’s now a “pack” on its back! Or whatever.
(Secret: I’m not the greatest drawer. But I love to draw… I generally like what I draw… and to me, that’s all that matters!!)
I think he’s pretty cute myself!
I think he’s really cute!
adorable wise man
That’s how all my drawings turn out, not quite like the picture. I knew it was a goat right away and you were happy with it so double bonus.
Your’e right Carla, it doesn’t look like the one in the picture or how its supposed to be looking (I don’t know, is it according to the goat drawing manuel people??)….it looks MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a spirited little sweet goat. a goat that needs to be smooched, that kind of a goat you know? I’d call it Sugar if I was you and had the urge to name it.

I think he looks great and the pack on his back is fine. I just wonder what he did with his two hind legs or is this a species between goat and man? He really does look sweet. I have two goats and I haven’t drawn them so well.
Love your art. Thanks for sharing the Book of Blobs, too! So fun! BTW, I highly recommend your books to everyone. Great job!
