This is a little piece that I created last week for a fundraiser for “A Place to Bark.” I’ll post more info on it as soon as I know!
How was your weekend? Yesterday was my birthday (47) and I spent a great day with my boys… we went to the Fremont Market, ate lunch by the water, waited in a bunch of lines, got home and took a little nap… and then Steve and I went to see David Sedaris in downtown Seattle (loved, loved, loved it)!
I love it Carla. Thanks so much for your participation in this worthy cause. It will be a fabulous addition to the book. You’re the best! I’ll send all the info as soon as the auction is listed.
Happy Birthday and many happy returns…

I love your birds. I feel like them so much of the time, perhaps I’m reading into their expressions but they really could be me! A belated happy birthday to you, you wear 47 very well. I am hitting 50 this year (gack! to paraphrase Bill the Cat) and have already started my mid life crisis at the very thought. I really enjoyed the silly class, it has inspired me to work with my dog as a character for some future work I am planning on doing.
Happy, Happy Birthday!!!!!Wishing you a year of fun and silliness.
well that is just simply awesome
Love your drawings, Carla!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday Carla, my daughter’s birthday was last week…I love how you get enjoyment from the simplest things..I love your spirited drawings.

Hey Carla. Happy Belated Birthday! I too really enjoyed the Silliness class. It came at a much needed high stress time in my life … not that every day isn’t high stress … but my mother was scheduled for surgery to remove a brain tumor. The surgery was on April 22 and was very successful. She is in rehab now. The daily worksheets were a much needed break from the seriousness of the day/week/year(long story)/situation and I am grateful. My wish for you, the squeen, years and years of continually compounding silliness!
