Such sad news: Carol Parks passed away on Sunday.
I met Carol briefly in 2006 at Artfest, and we “traded” artwork and zines the following fall during Art & Soul. We kept in touch by email the following year. In early 2008 I was going through a particularly difficult time financially; Carol found out about it and suddenly “needed” several hundred dollars worth of art and journals from my etsy shop… she wrote in the message to seller: “I’ve been in your position several times in my life. We can’t have that.”
In 2009 I taught a three-day workshop in her home… what fun that was, in so many ways!
This generous and talented woman will be missed. Goodbye, Carol.
She was a really sweet lady. I attended a Sabrina Ward Harrison workshop in her home. It was a lovely weekend!
What a lovely, kind person. I’m sorry for your loss.
Karla, I knew about her classes, but never met her in person. The world was obviously a better place because of her; thanks for sharing your beautiful story so that we could all appreciate her.
I don’t know who she is but it sounds as if she was a wonderful friend. We need more of her kind, not less. I’m sorry for your loss.
Another Beautiful Link in the Chain of Life has been added. I celebrate Her life with all Who Knew Her. ( May His Angels of Healing and Love come to all in Joy of a Beautiful Sweet Loving Person).
Now, We have to tell Her Story.
So, sorry for your loss, Carla.
