We are in the middle of the Faces 101 class this week, and so, for fun, here are three faces I drew at that recent figure drawing session.
I used the side of a graphite stick on paper. All of them quick studies, about 2 minutes each.
So fun!

Ooo, nice! Getting out graphite sticks now…
great lines, Carla! I wish I can do your class again… Remind me of this lovely drawing by Paul Klee called Siblings – the internet image I got is not very accurate, but probably you know it already: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vyX3uMfy_Zc/TbO-1FjGNoI/AAAAAAAADaQ/oKIrGXKmMFg/s1600/klee36.JPG
Love these, Carla!
Sigh. Beautiful. There was a student who could do these thin, definite lines and soft areas with one piece of charcoal or conte in my class. Her drawings were so lovely, like yours. I couldn’t do it; even using the charcoal on the side mine were more definite and gaggedy. Said student said I could if I practiced; turned out she was a retired art teacher, so she must be right!
Love it! Can’t wait for the new book.
These are simply gorgeous! Love the dirt one!!
This is so nice! If you are going to teach in next class, I’d love to attend!
