My third book “The Art of Silliness: A Creativity Book for Everyone” hits the shelves on Tuesday, November 6th (yes, Election Day), and the hard-working folks at Perigee have set up a BLOG TOUR over the next 9 days, starting today!

But first I want to introduce you to the story behind the book. The Art of Silliness: Drawing Worksheets for Adults began in April 2010 as an online class designed to help adult students to begin (and enjoy!) drawing again.

The class consisted of daily worksheets with “real” drawing exercises and “silly” prompts. Students (both beginning and accomplished) would then complete the worksheets, with wonderful, incredible results.

The new book contains many of the exercises found in the original class series, and is presented in a “workbook” format so readers can draw and create right in the book. I hope this book will be a helpful tool for parents and grandparents, educators and homeschoolers, and artists and beginners… ALL!

The Art of Silliness BLOG TOUR will include interviews, guest posts, and giveaway opportunities at 10 different blogs. I’ll keep you posted!

Today I did this Q&A over at craftfoxes.com:
