“Blue Landscape,” acrylic on watercolor paper (Gelli Plate monotype)
* * *
I hope you had a terrific weekend!
Steve and I relaxed unexpectedly on Saturday, even though he had 30 hours of photo re-touching to do. When he told me, I asked, “Today?” He said, “This afternoon.”
And yet… we had lunch. We tried to walk to an estate sale while waiting for Liam to wake up (but gave up). We took Liam to the park, stayed and had dinner with the kids, and generally did nothing but hang out all day.
We sure needed it!
It’s very hard for both of us to take breaks (me more than him); I tend to be within feet of my laptop at all times.
But I’m trying!
Oh I really love this. I just took your class so I have to try harder. Beautiful, like the day you had.
Hi Carla,
Love the gelli plate print. Reminds me of Walden pond… 🙂

loving the wonderful effect you have achieved. Annette x
A break is always good. I seem to work better after a break . By the way, I loved your gelli class, thank you so much for teaching it!
it surely is good to rest & just BE sometimes. even better when it pops in unexpectedly and so deliciously!
love this monotype. just so YOU!!
Wonderful to take some time to relax! It is good for you!
It makes me think of the landscape in Shetland.
This is really pretty !! *Cynthia:)
I am glad you had a relaxing Saturday, they are needed at times. Love your print! I actually was watching some videos on using clear tape with the gelli plate. Was thinking about finally getting it out and try to create. Giraffes are on my brain…
