I’m so happy to have been asked by the wonderful Judi Kauffman if she could profile me for her monthly article for scrapbooking.com, “Meet the Artist.” She and I talked on the phone for at least two hours and I enjoyed every minute; she wrote a very flattering article and for that, Judi, I think you!
If you want to check it out, it contains about 20 art images documenting my art journey over the past 11 years. There’s also a “blob hunting” video in case you feel the need to draw some blobs today. Click here (and be sure to check out the other great content at scrapbooking.com).
And, here’s another Gelli print. It’s fun to work on these in the “cracks” of my other stuff.
Congratulations! Maybe you’ll change the face of scrapbooking. Fewer stamps, more creativity, increased confidence.
Yay!!! That’s so great Carla! I sent my mom the freebie link so that she can make blob animals too!
Congratulations on the feature. 🙂

Great article, Carla! And, as I am partway through the blob video, at 1:33 when you are working on the large blob with circle, I noticed to the left a large blob that looked like a giraffe head with long neck and lion mane. I guess you can see creatures almost anywhere!
Good for you. Now you can be an inspiration for even more people.
This is GREAT!!!!! This is another wonderful way for you to spread your creative soul.
What a wonderful feature by Judi! She touched on all things “Carla.” A smorgasbord of silliness. Congrats.
Wow. What a wonderful article. And so many examples of your work to show what you are all about: whimsical drawings, great colours and making everyone taking your classes feel more certain about drawing – and about making mistakes. It’s all part of life, we learn from it, so enjoy and embrace your mistakes. That’s what I’ve learned and try to take back to other things in life. Thanks!
