Steve and I are combining our home and studio into one downtown location this month. We have the keys to the new place, and I’m writing from there now; we are both really excited about this change!
In the print above, “Roxy,” is ready to play. (A dog in this play position is one of the best things about having a dog, don’t you think?!)
In my Year of the Fairy Tale class, I’ve given myself the mandate to focus on experimentation and play, as I believe it makes for more exciting, meaningful, and personal work.
Apparently Steve and I like to be similarly experimental in our lives. 😉
Living in downtown Seattle is an experiment, and it might not work!
But it MIGHT!
Wish us luck!
You will never know unless you try, right? Good luck, Carla!

It will be great
I’m so excited for you. When our kids were young we moved for a year to Colorado from Tucson and it was one of the best years of our lives. We’ve thought about moving downtown too. (We live on the eastside) and might just do that at some point. Looking forward to hearing how this all plays out for you. Have fun!
Congratulations on having the courage to try this experiment! Something tells me that it’s going to be wonderful for you.

When you pay too much attention to the door that is closing, you miss the one opening up for you. You and Steve are not letting that happen and with attitude like you two have, it will be a piece of cake.
So exciting to move! Just moved from bedroom community to center of small city where I can walk everywhere . Lots to do and 1 block from art museum. Yes I do love it when a dog wants to play and you have showed it so well in your print!
So exciting! It’s a great looking space. Good luck on the moving part.
Congratulations, good luck and best wishes to you and Steve.

Thank you, everyone! We are excited and nervous. But mostly excited. 😉
It’s gorgeous Carla. Are you keeping your home as well? Or is this a BIG move. I’ve taken many risks moving and always feel it really clears the cobwebs and puts everything in perspective. There is a clean and wonderful feeling about a new move. The senses perk right up.
Thank you! We’re combining home and studio into one space. It’s large, which is good. 😉
This is a wonderful move – just think of all the time and gas you are saving by combining your home and studio into one. Congratulations!
A new adventure in your lives, how exciting! Hopefully combining work and home will leave you more time for yourselves! Congrats to you both on your new space!
Wishing you luck! Your mew space looks great in the picture 🙂
