Recently I did a bunch of watercolor paintings in one timed sitting in preparation for a Spark assignment:
After a while I settled on elephants, trying to get the “perfect” one…
I got…
Elephants Grumpy,
Elephants Sad,
Elephants Strange,
and Elephants Mad!
Though I liked many of my elephants, the best one of the day (to me) looked more like an anteater!
In any case, it was a great assignment to do… 25 watercolor paintings in 2 hours… you should try it!
What a lot of fabulous characters 😀 They reminded me of the Picasso elephant that I did last month 😀
Wow! 25 paintings in 2 hours is incredible. I’m impressed. Very. Maybe I should set myself a similar challenge some time. It sounds like great fun. Your elephants are all superb. I enjoy the confidence of your mark making, the sweep of the lines and the little details that pull it together. My favourite is the angry elephant. I like his stern eyebrow.
love this series
Setting my Carla Sonheim Timer Challenge now! Love these elephants you created. Reflections of teaching elephants in clay turning into Rhinos as my own attempts to drawing a greyhound turning to dinosaurs. You are a forever inspiration to so many. Thank you for everything you do, share and create!
You are certainly in touch with your inner child!
Great idea and great results. You are so inspiring! Justine
