I’ve been procrastinating a lot lately!
For the Yellow class, our assignment this month is to work on a small series of work. This has led to quite a lot of procrastination:
This morning, I didn’t feel like working on my series, so I designed a new class logo instead (ahead of schedule).
Later, instead of working on my series, I commented, answered emails, cleaned off my desktop, and painted some dots. (They’re cute, right?)
By 4pm I was finally ready to begin working on the series when it was obvious that I needed to do some shopping and go to the gym.
And now? I’m writing a blog post.
HAHAHA
I certainly understand this routine. As long as I am being creative in another way I don’t beat myself up so much about procrastinating. (I’m gearing up.) ha ha Cheers-
Sounds like my day. Flitting about but not accomplishing what I was supposed to do.
yes, this describes my inaction perfectly!
LOL! That’s exactly what I am doing now! I am supposed to be finishing up a painting commission but instead I have organized my art table and sifted through baskets of art supplies. Now I am playing on the internet!
Good to know that I’m not the only one who procrastinate. Woke up this morning with images of faces on my mind and ready to sit down at my workstation to draw my Face series. Instead, I practiced sun salutation yoga, listened to a CD teaching on Kundalini Meditation, met my friend at the runners shoe store and then sat down with her at Zinga for a yogurt lunch. Now I’m reading email and responding to blog posts…! Oh, so easy to find distractions. It’s a beautiful warm Spring sunny day out there, I think I’ll take a walk in the garden next… Viva la procrastinators… live the moments…. LoL!
Hi Carla : ) Obviously – YOU ARE NOT ALONE !!! been there – done that : ) I’m having a small lapse in motivation on my series ?? I know it’s just “me” trying to but NOT make decisions on a series, hmmmm, (sighhh) but I know I’ll have a light bulb moment – I’m just not pushing it – hahaha : )
BTW – lovin the “Y” class – it’s just exciting and fun – thank you as always for all your work – it’s wonderful : )
Blessings, Sandra in AZ : )
yes, cute dots!
Yes, a sense of humor helps on those days Carla…and then one day turns into the next!
But they are such lovely dots!
