One thing that the 365 year-long online class has taught me (and Steve) is that we can indeed show up for something every day. Today is #108 and we are still having so much fun!
But the intensity of that class has meant that I have neglected some other things — this blog, for example — and I’ve been feeling the need to SHARE more for some reason. 😀
So for 30 days (the number of days before I need to get on an airplane again, ugh) I’m going to post three things each day:
- Something FOUND.
- Something WRITTEN.
- Something MADE.
Sharon Butler is a NY-based artist who has been creating a drawing a day and posting them on instagram. Sharon created these drawings to be viewed only on the phone! “I wanted to make original work that was actually intended to be seen exclusively on the phone, and practically could not be seen in any other way.” So cool! I then followed a link to Sharon’s other instagram account, and found another artist I really liked, Christopher Dunlap.
I’ve shared with some of you that I would love to write another book. It’s been 5 years! But the time, the focus… these are things that have been eluding me. Still, I have about 8 book ideas! And so every few days I try to begin one of them.
But then, I don’t know which to pursue first. There are too many and some of them are completely out of my comfort zone (children’s books, graphic-type novel-ish), which is both a good and terrifying thing. Sometimes I make a start on one, only to be told (by my brain) that the my idea is dumb, and I throw myself on the bed for a few minutes, paralyzed.
And then I go and try to catch up on emails.
Have a wonderful day!
