Collage Bits from Decorative Punches
Hi everyone!
How are you today?
Here is a quick free video tutorial… I’ve been making these lacy, bug-like abstract shapes with decorative punches that I recently found at a thrift store… they have really added interest to these collages that I’ve been working on recently:
And…
Our year-long collage class begins TOMORROW!

Love them all, man and cat especially. Using punches to form unique bug parts and shapes is a wonderful idea. Five weeks ago I gave my old neighbour my stack of printed, decorative papers and a bunch of these punches. It never occurred to use them in a different way. You have an amazing ability to find exciting and inspirational new ways to use supplies and found things. That makes you a true artist and inventor in my book.
Very cute! What a fun way to use those punches!
So love these! I saw that Joann’s had punches on sale. Couldn’t think of what I could do with them, but NOW…. I’ll be heading back there soon. LOL
love this tutorial what a genius idea to play with punches like you do!! You created a smile on my face all through watching the video! great!!
Hi Carla ! Thank you for your brilliant idea and new use of punches, and for reminding us to “play” with our supplies 😉

This is so very interesting!!!! And so inspiring!!
I miss my regular visits here. Being back at work means I don’t have as much time to blog or visit my favourite blogs… 😦
Hello
interesting work
can you please share the name of the punches?
Thanks a lot
Hi! I purchased them at a thrift shop, so I don’t know their names, but the manufacturer is Martha Stewart Living!
Thanks.
This is brilliant. I can see teaching this to young children, many of whom struggle to cut with scissors. Problem solved. Wonderful, thank you.
