These portraits were created in preparation for Lesson 11 of our Words and Pictures class!
The words are verbatim from recent journal entries. I think of them a little bit like they could be greeting cards, but to myself.
They are made with Neocolor II crayons, pencil and acrylic paint on rice paper and watercolor paper. The three above are ATC sized, and the ones below are 5″x7″
The next one has a sentence preceding it to make sense:
“I tried to put lotion on my face and now my right eye has been stinging for an hour.” Then,
I hope you are having a good day today. xoxo
Love these Carla!
It reminds me a bit of your flower portraits 😊
Hi Carla. These are just delightful creations. Thank you for showing them. They re.ind me of the faces remind me of the face class i took from you years ago. I still love the sweet faces i made.
Thank you.
Linda
Love these characters and identify. Thank you for brightening my day.
There needs to be a LOVE button as well. Love each of these! Yeah, about the lotion. Bad enough to have wrinkles, but to have crevices in your face (you can’t always see) that act as the Grand Canyon and flood lotion into your eyeballs is just salt on the… well, you know. LOL, Your work is delightful Carla 🙂
You always inspire! Thanks for all You do to encourage creativity !
These are amazing little portraits and the words really land home with me. And I do exactly that with lotion. Will document it. Have a great day.
Gentle thoughts sent your way.
Gaye
I love the “personality” hair on all these portraits, Carla! Incidentally, I have to use Lubiderm Unscented lotion because my sense of smell is acute. You might try that.
We humans are bolting range of emotions. Lovely images, lovely art, mastery of skill and sensitivity.
