On Friday evening I sent to Teesha and Tracy Moore’s Journal Meet at the Artfest Annex (their wonderful loft space in Pioneer Square).
These are a couple of the animals I made while chit-chatting with friends… made with Panpastels, colored pencil, marker and ballpoint pen.
Stories were told, which prompted this drawing of Teesha’s dog…. good times!
Do you live in Seattle or nearby? If so, plan to come to the next one, scheduled for Friday, November 12th!
Carla– I love these! Especially the green/blue highlights. After seeing all your little critters, I am going to buy a set of Panpastels to try out. Any recommendations on which color set to get? I’m a little overwhelmed by the variety…
Hi Sarah!
Gosh, it’s so hard, isn’t it?
I suppose I would recommend a straight yellow, red, blue (you can “mix” them) and then as many others in colors you “like” that you can afford… that night I had access to Teesha Moore’s considerable stash (lucky).
I like at least one dark brown, a light pink, a torquoise blue, orange, some dark grey…
I hope that helps!
Carla
Carla it was your darling animal creatures that cought my interest. I love them. Purp
Love these critters! You know, I may have to move all the way across the country just for the Journal Meet at the Artfest Annex alone! 😀
Nice
These critters are so great! Such detail!
so durn cute Carla. I’m going to get pan pastels too.
they are gorgeous! the colouring is awesome! I SO wish I had (my own) permission to buy more art supplies 😉
You are really sick at coloring in with color pencil. I mean that in a good way. Very inspiring. the colors glow with your technique.
